A Journey Through Colors and Culture: Maria & Alen’s Trip to India

When Maria and Alen, an artist couple from Barcelona, decided to explore India, they weren’t looking for just another vacation—they were in search of inspiration, soul-stirring experiences, and cultural immersion. That’s when they found Agence India Travel Arts LLP  and their tailor-made India tour. Little did they know, this journey would leave a permanent mark on their hearts—and sketchbooks.

Day 1–3: Delhi – The Gateway to the Past

Their adventure began in Delhi, a city where Mughal majesty meets modern chaos. With the help of their expert guide from Agence India Travel Arts, Maria and Alen wandered through the vibrant lanes of Old Delhi, soaking in the aromas of spices, street food, and history. They visited Humayun’s Tomb, Qutub Minar, and India Gate, but what touched them most was a heritage walk in Chandni Chowk—sketching the colorful shops, rustic doors, and street performers.

“We never imagined such organized chaos could be so beautiful,” Alen laughed, holding up a sketch of a chai wallah serving tea with flair.

Day 4–6: Jaipur – The Pink City and Royal Craftsmanship

In Jaipur, they were welcomed by the warm Rajasthani sun and even warmer hospitality. The couple visited the City Palace, Amer Fort, and Hawa Mahal, but the highlight was a private block-printing workshop arranged by the agency in the village of Bagru.

Maria spent hours experimenting with vegetable dyes and traditional motifs, while Alen painted a mural in the local school as part of a cultural exchange.

“It felt like we weren’t just visiting India—we were becoming part of it,” Maria said.

Day 7–9: Udaipur – Romance, Reflection, and Folk Arts

Next stop: Udaipur, the city of lakes. Their hotel overlooked the serene Lake Pichola, and every morning began with the sound of temple bells and ripples in the water. Agence India Travel Arts had curated a visit to a miniature painting workshop, where Alen learned the delicate art of brushwork on silk.

An evening folk music performance under the stars at Bagore Ki Haveli was the couple’s favorite moment—a magical fusion of dance, drums, and storytelling.

“We didn’t understand every word, but the emotion in the music said everything,” Alen recalled.

Day 10–12: Varanasi – The Sacred and the Surreal

Their final leg took them to Varanasi, where time seems to stand still. Maria and Alen took an early morning boat ride on the Ganges, watching the city wake with devotion and ritual. The agency had arranged a guided visit to local art collectives specializing in silk weaving and handmade paper crafts.

That night, they attended the Ganga Aarti—a mesmerizing ceremony that, as Maria put it, “felt like painting with fire and faith.”

A Journey to Remember
Agence India Travel Arts and its travel wasn’t just a sightseeing trip—it was a carefully curated artistic pilgrimage. From personalized workshops to immersive cultural experiences, Maria and Alen felt like more than tourists. They felt connected.

“We came to India searching for beauty in its art—and we found it in every smile, every street, every silence,” Maria said as they boarded their flight home.

They returned to Spain not just with suitcases of souvenirs and sketchbooks full of stories, but with new perspectives, creative inspiration, and lifelong memories.
